Common faults

What usually goes wrong

  • Mirrors or signal are too late to help.
  • The car passes a cyclist, then turns across their path.
  • Speed is reduced while steering, causing a wide or rushed turn.
  • The car swings right, clips the kerb or cuts into the wrong side.
  • The driver misses a pedestrian at the mouth of the junction.
